Penetration Testing
Penetration Testing is a key component of ensuring the security of any network. Talino provides active assessment as a tool to evaluate the security posture of a network. Talino Penetration Testing teams are divided into two groups: malicious outsiders and insider threats. This allows for realistic testing scenarios where the testers have only the knowledge any real attacker would have access to.
The key steps in Penetration Testing are:
Identification of system assets
includes identifying the data being protected and the hardware and software safeguards in place to protect the data.
Enumeration of services
identifies key services provided by the network and potential avenues of attack.
Research and evaluation
includes identification of flaws through vulnerability scanning or manual analysis.
Exploitation of vulnerabilities
actively tries to exploit the vulnerabilities identified through the previous three steps.
Analysis
pulls together all the data collected and presents it in a logical manner to the system owners in an actionable penetration testing report.
